Normally, I don’t publish two photos but I want you all to understand that the above picture of the squirrel, taken by Becky, was taken without a telephoto lens. This little guy was in a grassy area of the park (during the Green Market), and was trying to find a place to bury that nut. He had no fear and came pretty close to people as you can tell by the photo below.
Okay, so no squirrels in Hawaii and Spain?
Cece – I think I may need to try leaving them peanuts to see what happens. Of course, it will drive Fala crazy.
I haven’t seen a squirrel in years. Very cute.
he must’ve been to busy thinking where to hide his nut that he has forgotten that he’s near humans:) that’s really cute and you are lucky to see them that close.
Very cool photo! It must have been fun seeing him or her so close. Poor thing must have been stressed trying to find a place to bury that nut. I miss seeing squirrels. Great take on the theme this week 🙂
What a bold little fellow!
He is adorable!! I am a big fan of cute, furry squirrels. At our last house I had some that would scratch on my door if I hadn’t put peanuts out by a certain time. They would stretch out and take peanuts, french fries and cheese curls from my hands. So sweet.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing me beagle gator. LOL

Great shots, Kim.
I’ve never seen a squirrel get so close to someone unless there’s food involved. Great shots!
Great photo, Kim.
That’s too funny! Great get!
That squirrel has more nut than he has mouth!
Mine is up at http://myordinarythings.blogspot.com/2009/01/31365.html
That is one thin looking squirrel.
Wow! What a terrific photo! And what a huge mouth!
I did Photo Hunters, too. I hope you get a chance to visit!
