There aren’t a lot of covered bridges left, are there?

Hi Kim, great photo theme selection! We don’t have many covered type bridges where I live, so it’s great seeing them. They’re very cool looking.
Have a great weekend!

I love covered bridges. Yours reminded me of the movie with Clint Eastwood -Bridges of Madison County?
I love those old covered wooden bridges.
They are usually very cool and calming when you walk or drive through them. So many are being lost… there are fewer and fewer.
Mine is up…

That’s an interesting covered bridge. Thanks for sharing.
It also reminded me of The Bridges of Madison County.
I’ve never seen one in person but I love looking at photos of them. I too wonder what the purpose of covering them was? Great post.
What a cute little covered bridge! Nice shot!
That is one cool bridge. I didn’t realize that there were some in Vermont. I need to search out some nearby in Oregon. Nice selection.
Nice bridge! 🙂 Lovely!
I love covered bridges also, and have only seen a few myself. Cool photo!
I love covered bridges but have only seen a couple. Lovely photo, Kim.

I love covered bridges, but I’ve only seen a few in my life. Guess I’m visiting the wrong states.
This looks like a very old and dated bridge, interesting. Here’s mine http://www.mirasblog.com/2009/02/photo-hunt-6-bridge.html
That’s a very nice bridge, and picture too.
I love quaint little bridges. 🙂
We kind of had the same idea here, Kim!
I like your take:)

Nice one.
I’ve always wondered though … why did they cover them?
