I’m glad I stuck with the Kathy Reichs books after having such a bad start with Deja Dead. In Grave Secrets we find Tempe Brennan helping with a mass grave in Guatemala. While I didn’t find it as compelling as Fatal Voyage, I did enjoy it though I must admit to skimming through some of the more involved science explanations and I did get a bit annoyed when Tempe yet again put herself in a dangerous situation (why doesn’t she learn?) – a little more of that and I’ll probably get perturbed at these acts of stupidity in the name of plot movement but for now, as long as I’m getting them free from the library, I’ll continue to read them.
