So Devil Bones was my break-up book after reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and before moving on to my next selection though I had no idea what that may be. And that’s pretty much all this book was good for, breaking up the time between two other books. As a matter of fact, it served that purpose so well, I barely remember the details of this story (although, granted I’ve read three books since this one, one being another “Bones” book).
I do remember the whole, is this devil worship, voodoo or some other weird religion storyline.
I also remember the whole falling off the wagon story-line (which I have to say was kind of contrived in that she’s gone through a lot worse and hadn’t fallen off the wagon)
And now that I think of it, I remember who the killer ended up being (not a complete surprise), but there was nothing earth-shatteringly interesting that makes this book stand out from the others. I’m not sure why I keep up with this series other than they’re quick, free (at the library) and I’ve finished almost all of them.
