I have to admit it; I wasn’t a huge Tina Fey fan. I wasn’t even a big Tina Fey fan. Maybe you could consider me a mild Tina Fey fan. But my daughter has been nagging me for a while to stream 30 Rock, her all time favorite show so I started to do that (I think I’m somewhere in season 2) and while when I watched it, I am totally amused, it’s not something I felt I needed to binge. But as I watched it, I grew a bit more curious about Fey’s memoir, Bossypants and since we already had it on our Kindle account (a la said daughter), I thought I’d give that a go too.
I’m so happy I did. I found Tina’s book utterly charming, funny and fascinating (not just for 30 Rock fans, but Saturday Night Live fans too as well as for any awkward teen or working mother who has faced the juggling act of children, husband and job). Basically, her stories have a bit something for everyone, fan or not and her dry, somewhat sarcastic humor definitely comes through. It’s a quick read and one I definitely recommend.
