An Unmarked Grave is the fourth in the Bess Crawford series of books by Charles Todd. Like the others it takes place in England and in France along the battlefields of World War I, only this time with the added wrinkle of nurse Bess dealing with and catching influenza a la the 1917 outbreak. Throw in some dead bodies where they shouldn’t be and a psycho killer and you have the makings for yet another engaging cozy mystery. I’m still enjoying these stories and will recommend this one along with the others though I do wonder, what will happen as we approach the end of the war…
